Image result for volcanoes

After half term we will be starting a new topic on volcanoes.
Your task is to find out all about volcanoes. Can you find out:
·        How are volcanoes are formed?
·        Examples of different volcanoes
·        Where are volcanoes are located?
·        Different types of volcanoes

We would like you to present your findings to the rest of the class. You could make a powerpoint presentation or create an information sheet. Make sure you include pictures.

Make sure you read your bug club books and complete your mathletics tasks.

  1. In my opinion the aqueduct is the best Roman invention. These under and above ground channels, typically made of stone, brick, and volcanic cement, brought fresh water for drinking and bathing. Aqueducts could bring clean water from as far as 50 to 60 miles from springs or rivers. Aqueducts also helped keep Romans healthy by carrying away used water and waste, and they also took water to farms for irrigation. This is the greatest invention because we still use aqueducts and they are a type of plumbing. If the Romans didn't have aqueducts they would throw their waste out on to the roads like we did in the Middle Ages. That probably would have caused a plague or a serious epidemic. That is why I think that aqueducts are the best Roman invention.

  2. JAKE homework
    the Romans-invention

The Roman invention I'm writing about are the toilets/sewers
because with out them our Planet would be gross. The not only help with the planet, they also help with our hygiene. In the Roman times toilets reduced diseases and infection as they did chuck there waste out of the window. The sewers were useful as it sent all of the waste away to a better place.
You can clearly see that these invention were great as they are still used today.
